Patient participation group

The aims of the patient participation group

Do you have an opinion about the practice, an innovative idea, are you concerned about the changes happening in General Practice, or would you just like to keep up to date? Then consider joining the ‘Patient Participation Group’. This Group is dedicated to you, the patient. It is an opportunity for you to get together with other patients and our practice representatives and discuss the issues that affect you most.

Meetings take place every 4 months.  Patients, Practice Manager and one of the GP partners attend the meetings.  Patients and clinical and non-clinical staff believe that this forum improves communication that will be mutually beneficial.  This in turn will highlight the unmet needs hence can improve the quality of service for the patients.

The group’s main objectives are to improve patient information provided in the practice and increase awareness of different conditions. It seeks to do this through the development of a patient newsletter, through a patient buddy system and through improving the communication links between the patients and the practice through regular meetings and events. It is also a opportunity for us to learn how we can improve the varied services that we offer you.

For more information, contact Practice Manager/Deputy Managers on 01702 347947 or 01702 475105 or speak to a receptionist

Please note: This group is not for discussing specific complaint or health issue.
